This has to be good news for folks who want to see the live play by play action but had to work or had some other pressing matters that took them away from the TV.
You see, if it’s on the internet, then it’ll probably be streamed via the carriers’ sports networks to one’s smart phone as well as iPads and similar devices. Verizon has already announced participation. This is a win win situation for all football fans.

For those who wish they could watch the Super Bowl from their phone, your wish is granted — for the first time ever, the big game will be available live online and on certain mobile devices, in addition to television.
NBC airs the Super Bowl on Feb. 5 from Indianapolis, and will also stream the game on NFL.com and NBCSports.com. Verizon users will be able to watch via NFL Mobile, NBC added in its announcement on Monday.
It’s nothing too new for NBC, though. The network has been streaming its Sunday night football games for several years, and usually average about 200,000-300,000 streams, according to the Associated Press, with around 21 million watching on TV. Last year’s Green Bay Packers-Pittsburgh Steelers Super Bowl clocked 111 million viewers.
